There’s no catch, no sales pitch at the end - this is just free. Come one, come all!
If you’ve been playing awhile or flipping through tune books, you’ve probably run across a fiddle tune here or there in Bb or F (or their relative minors, Gm and Dm). Do they psych you out?
Even if you’re comfortable with those tunes, what happens when you want to sit in with a singer-songwriter or jazz horn player who calls a tune in Eb, Ab, or Db? Are you comfortable there?
I do teach a whole 4-week course about this, but for this workshop we’ll just get in the sandbox and start to play around a bit.
What we’ll do:
We’ll learn a fiddle tune in Bb (combo of sheet music/tablature and by-ear, so you can choose your favorite learning style)
Then we’ll talk about a systematic approach to get more comfortable playing and improvising in the other flat keys. (I promise I won’t just tell you to go home and practice your scales until you’re magically comfortable improvising.)
Sound good? Fill out the form below to RSVP.
(And yes, there will be a replay, so no worries if the time doesn’t work for you to show up live at 12pm Pacific on November 12th.)
